Study by University of Leicester has concluded that 1/3 of the patients cured by Coddy return to the hospital within five months. According to the study by these returning to the hospital, one in eight die.
Research by Leicester University and the Office for National Statistics (ONS) found that out of 47,780 people released from the hospital in the first wave, 29.4 per cent returned to the hospital within 140 days and 12.3 per cent died.
The long - term devastating effects of the coronary can cause many survivors to develop heart problems, diabetes, and chronic conditions of liver and kidneys.
According to the head of the research, Camille Candy, this is the largest “plotting of patients who came out of the hospital after being admitted to Covid”.
“People seem to go home, have long-term symptoms, return and die. We see 30% returning to the hospital, these are many people, the numbers are so large”, he said.
