The trial judge, Nicholas Guilloi, has continued his detention of the two KLA OVL leaders, Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj.
In this case, Guillou has asked the parties to send their vouchers for parole by February 1st - until the next review of the detention.
The detention extension decision has been made on December 24th, but it has recently been made public.
The court has considered in its decision that despite the terms proposed by defence lawyers, there is again danger of the accused interfering in the process.
Gucatt's defence had proposed the following conditions:
Condition 1: Gucati will not enter Pristina.
Condition 2: There's only one electronic communications device in which the Special Prosecution will have access.
Condition 3: Gucati live outside Kosovo. To dwell and sleep every night at the assigned home at the edited state of the third party. This house belongs to a relative, and family members live in the same home.
Meanwhile, Nasim Haradinaj's lawyer had proposed these conditions, news reports:
Condition 1: Delivering the passport and stopping Kosovo from leaving Kosovo, in addition to certain appearances at the tribunal.
Condition 2: To dwell at his permanent address, and not seek its change.
Condition 3: Any device used for communication, be connected and recorded with the Special Prosecution.
Condition 4: Report to a local police station at certain frequencies.
Condition 5: Keep in touch with the accused.
Condition 6: Taking on him not to communicate with the media, seeking to publish information about him or any other case currently subject to the court.
However, these conditions have all been rejected, and detention of both has continued.
