Teams are continuing to work on the streets of the village group dealt with poor weather conditions, including the decline of a 3m distance in some areas.
eyhmus Yentür, a local official, told reporters that snow has already caused road closures at high altitudes, adding that roads have again been blocked after the storm has cleared.
Snow cleaning teams are experiencing difficulties because of the storm, he said, adding that jobs have accelerated with the reduction of storm intensity.
“Because of the storm, snow is up to 15 feet [5 m] in some areas“, Yentür said.
Meanwhile, Nazım Diner, chief of the intervention teams, said the roads are closed again despite cleanup due to atmospheric conditions.
“Place-country snow is about five meters thick. Soon we will clear the streets of villages“, he stressed.
