Former EULEX chief of judges Malcolm Simmons, in an interview for public television, has spoken extensively about scandals in the European Law Rule Mission.

He has said he expects the Kosovo Parliamentary Investigative Commission to do what EULEX and the European Foreign Action Service have so far failed to do.

“This commission will review abuses for rule of law that happened supposedly on behalf of the people of Kosovo, by judges and senior staff EULEX, an EU Mission for Rule of Law that claims to promote rule of law”, Simmons has said.

He has added that he is confident in the Kosovo Parliament to conduct a fair, transparent and impartial investigation into Kosovo's way of managing justice.

I believe that's what the people of Kosovo expect and deserve”, Simmons said.

Simmons has said that cases in which he and his colleagues are led by EULEX judges have included Kosovo citizens and criminal acts committed in Kosovo.

The most important “, EULEX judges have administered justice in the name of the people of Kosovo. Therefore, I think that the people of Kosovo have the right to investigate how justice is administered in Kosovo in their name. As representatives of the people of Kosovo, I believe the Kosovo Parliament is tasked with considering the failures of justice that have occurred and continue to occur. Above all, justice and rule of law are the foundation of every civilized society. I am confident that the Kosovo Parliament will do the right thing and I am willing to assist them in their investigations”, Simmons has said.

Speaking of the report he will have before the Kosovo Parliamentary Parliamentary Commission, Simmons has stressed that there is much to say to this Commission, adding that “I can certainly say that what he will tell the Commission will send great shocks to the International Community”.
