An anti-government protest has been held today in several Russian cities that are seeking the release of Alexei Navajo. Those protests also brought severe reactions from the police, who arrested thousands of people. The demonstrators called “Turp, shame” in Vladivostok as officers in heavy clothes and rubber sticks arrested protesters by taking them into police vans.
Among the detainees was Yulia Navalnaya, wife of Kremlin critic Navalny, who was leading the protest in Moscow.
Similar protests took place in several towns in the Far Russian East, where temperatures reached as high as -30C.
