Acting Justice Minister Selim Selim Selimi has presented the Project Strategy for Rule of Law conference for the period 2021-2025, says Economy Online.
According to him, the strategy contains four objectives: strengthening the judiciary and the prosecution; empowering criminal justice; empowering access to justice and empowering the anti-corruption war.
According to him, this process has started in government time and has developed into three stages, taking on external expertise.
It has clarified that 45 meetings have been held and over 100 participants from the judiciary, prosecution, academy, civil society and all other institutions involved in the area of rule of law.
“The strategy we're under way today is the product of a long and detailed process of the Functional Review of Law Rule Sector. This process, which began several years ago in the Haradinaj Government, took place in three phases: several preliminary tests were made in the first phase that identified key issues that needed to be further analysed”.
Then, in the second phase, these problems were analysed in four chapters and a total of 16 policy documents were produced, with external and local expertise that was defeated by our partners the European Union, the American Embassy, the British Embassy and the UNDP. Through this stage, this process attempted to diagnose any problem that today causes the loss of citizens ' trust in justice as a result of the impasse in bringing justice to”.
