Conspiracy of the Chief of Congress Police, Yolanda Pittman, said security forces have failed to prepare for the violent uprising on January 6th, despite warnings that the white superiors and extreme right-wing groups will attack Congress.

Despite the great “potential for violence”, the force was not adequately prepared for a “terrorist attack”, Pittman said.

We knew that groups of militia and white primacy organisations would participate. We also knew that some of these participants would bring firearms and other weapons to the event”, Pittman said before members of Congress, according to her written statement.

Among the wrong steps she listed was the failure to have enough officers in office and failure to have an adequate crisis communication plan.

I'm here to apologize on behalf of the Department. The department failed to meet its high standards, as did your”, Pittman said.

According to her, 1,200 officers in office that day, “did not match” with “40 thousand rebels” that attacked Congress.

Pittman was appointed acting Chief of Congress Police after Steven Sun resigned after the riots. The House of Representatives and Senate sergeants also left.

Pittman took responsibility for his mistakes and vowed he would work better and make changes.

Pittman was among several FBI officials, the National Guard, Justice Department and other agencies, who informed the Chamber Committee that is investigating the events of January 6th.
