Scientists: The earth is moving faster

Even the planet itself, says USA Today, demanded that it be left soon after 2020; according to the popular American daily, the Earth has been spinning faster around its axis. Quoting Live Science, the paper says that the 28 fastest days of Earth ever recorded since 1960s all [...]
Quoting Live Science, the newspaper says that the 28 fastest days of Earth ever recorded since 1960s all occurred during 2020. Our planet is usually an excellent guardian of time. On average, it rotates once in 86,400 seconds, which is equal to 24 hours, in relation to the sun. However, it is not perfect, and the duration can be played by milliseconds.
Earth's rotation may change little because of the movement of its nucleus, but this is likely to occur surprisingly, even because of the weather and effect of the oceans.
“Change in the atmosphere, especially atmospheric pressure around the world, and the movement of winds that can be linked to climate events such as El Niño are powerful enough to make their effects feel and in the rotation of Earth”, stated in 2003 scientist David A. Salstein.
Because of a instability in Earth's movement, experts in the 1950 ' s created an atomic clock to register the time correctly. But as the Earth's rotation can change, this clock continued at its own pace and its indicators moved, so the precise measurement effort makes an intervention every 10 years.
