The SBASK chairman, Nundman Jasharaj, said that from the beginning they had supported the UN's decision to conclude the first period of the education process and for the beginning of the second period on January 18th, 2021, based on the fact that it was done with the recommendation of the National Institute of Public Health and Health Ministry for reasons of the situation burdened with pandemic and the continuing increase of the number of students and educational workers by CODIC-19VI
But, Jasharaj left open the possibility of delaying the start of the learning process, unless they found support for their demands.
Jasharaj has indicated that their demand is an additional payment of 100 euros per month as long as the pandemic lasts.
“In communication with SBASK membership from all over Kosovo and given the fact that employees in the education sector are in constant danger of contact with COVIID, we have submitted their demand that even all employees in the education sector have additional salaries in the value of 100 euros per month, as long as the pandemic lasts, or until the points struck by the Constitutional Constitution in the wage Law and this Law begins implementing”, Yasjapthapthail said.
He has added that this request of education workers has been presented at the 30 December meeting with Minister Rame Likaj and Deputy Minister Xhavit Rexhaj.
“The SBASK is committed to co-operation and mobilization to begin with the new period of the teaching process on January 18th, but if these two education workers' demands are not resolved, we will have tense situations and by respecting the voice of education workers the Steering Council may require union action. We have announced this with official letter Minister Likaj and we will also announce Prime Minister Hoti at the meeting we expect to have with him, after we have sent the official request for the” meeting, Jasharaj said.
He added that they are awaiting the signing of the new Kolecative Education Count, as the joint Commission with representatives of the KASK and SBASK have held several meetings and reached compliance with the contents of the final text of the Kolective Education Count, expressing confidence that they will be signed at the beginning of next week between the UN and SBASK.
