The United Education, Science and Culture Union has again warned strikes. The SBASK Steering Council has held an extraordinary meeting together with the heads of pre-university Education of Kosovo municipalities and Universities, debating the current situation in education and the requirements for membership in salaries for work reasons in conditions difficult by pandemic and risk of affecting Crudus 19 and for the Kolec Educational Convention of Education. After an open debate by weighing the current situation in Kosovo and carefully analyzing these two membership requirements, participants of this extraordinary meeting have concluded the second lesson period to begin on January 18th, but for the strike to remain an open option”, the SBASK communiqué reported.
This union says the coming days will organise meetings to get support for the general strike.
“was authorized by Headship and SBASK chairman who, if even in the following days, has no results from meetings with institutions and dialogue, then by receiving written support from membership through the declaration forms, will be distributed on Friday and so on to all educational institutions to declare union actions, not excluding the general strike”, it is said in the SBSF communiqué.
