Samedin Mehmeti elected director of Kosovo Police

Samedin Mehmeti has been elected director general of the Kosovo Police, after about three months as the task adviser to this position.

Following the dismissal of Kosovo Police Director General Rashit Qalaj on the part of Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, deputy director Samedin Mehmeti has been appointed to the post.

Besides experience in the police, Samedin Mehmeti also has experience in the area of international security. For a few years Mr. Mehmet worked at the United Nations Organization Security Department, as well as the UN Mission in Afghanistan”, said among other things in Mehmet's biography.
