Only a few seconds remained alone, 2-year-old dies from room roles

Joey Walker's mother showed how she tried to save his life after finding him unconscious. Chloe Armstrong said she left the two-year-old in the bedroom while working downstairs.

“I was calling to come down but he didn't come”, she said. I was hearing him confuse something and then just silence. I went upstairs and found him unconscious.

Chloe called the competent bodies to give her son first aid and then to send her to intensive care at Manchester's Children's Hospital. But he died 18 days later, having suffered serious brain damage.

Chloe, 28, said the roles were tied back rather than removed and replaced before it moved.

She said, “This chain was already broken before moving. He shouldn't be there, after all. Joey would be alive by now if the house were not allowed to have the wrong roles”.
