A couple affected by the coronary decided to bind themselves to the hospital, where they were admitted after the deteriorating health. Elizabeth Kerr and Simon O'Brien were originally planning to marry each other in June of last year, but was delayed because of the pandemic.
Despite their oxygen levels, the two, who were in different pavilions, were married at a ceremony that the hospital staff had arranged. Simon's condition deteriorated and he moved to the intensive care unit while the staff worked to secure a marriage license.
Speaking of her marriage, Elizabeth said: “They told me that we could not marry because they would have to insult Simon. But the ceremony was held at another hour. He just gathered himself together so we could get married. We had to wait a few days for our first kiss. ”
