Directors of the Regional Water Company “Pristina” have indicated that the recent rainfall has positively affected the rising water level in lakes, which has reached over three metres.
Residents who are supplied by the acumulating lakes of Badovci and Batlava, following the recent rains of rain, have faced a lack of water due to its turmoil. The spokeswoman of the Regional Water Company “Prishtina”, Arjeta Doctor, in an answer to Radio Kosovo, stressed that last days' rainfall has caused disturbance in drinking water.
“The state of drinking water supply has begun to stabilise that we had some problems at Batovci Lake that was created in turmoil. And from the inability to process drinking water from the high level of turbulence that was created, we had reduced water production to minimum in order to maintain quality of drinking water for the service of citizens. ”
The doctor also said that these rainfalls have contributed to increased water levels at Lake Badovci and Batlava, which has reached over three feet [3 m], which this rise will provide water and drink for residents who are supplied from these two lakes, the doctor added.
We have a water rate up to three meters, but rational spending is also necessary. But what we can say is that we after these rains have provided the water supply for this year with the actual capacity we have. Citizens must take special importance not to misuse water and drink because this is our property for years to come. ”
The doctor also announced that the month of December 2020 has been an extremely successful month in terms of the collection rate. Regional water company “Pristina” supplies drinking water 8 (eight) municipalities.
