Almost all of Pristina's neighbourhoods and surrounding areas, such as Obiliki and Fushe Kosova, are continuing to face frequent and long water reductions. Although 21 years of post-war and many investments, KRU “Pristina” is failing to supply its water consumers 24 hours a day.
Now when the acumulating lakes are filled with water, from the KRU “Prishtina” reports that Badoci Lake and Baklava have been disturbed and that the supply of water 24 hours a day is impossible.
Chief of the CRU “Pristina”, Sokol Xhafa, has told Kosovo Press that at the moment they are working with 40 per cent of capacity, as the factory in Shkabaij has emerged about two days ago.
We're working with 40 percent of our capacity. There are riots in the two lakes and in the Iber-Lepenci Canal, which is impossible to handle factories in Shkabaj, which has already been out of operation for 40 hours. At 2: 00 p.m. today, we have started and are trying to get Kosovo to supply water and part of Obilics. While in Pristina we are struggling with reductions to keep the situation somewhat. But because of configuration the lower points get water quickly, while the high points are the highest att”, Xhafa says.
As Xhafa reports the CRU technical teams “Pristina” are on the ground working in all directions, however, he indicated that citizens will continue to face reductions as long as there will be turmoil in the accumulated lakes.
“The problem is solved depending on how to remove the disturbances. They're in factories working the water cleaning labs. But trouble is too great. Lake Batlava is in very turbulent condition. We haven't had cases that so fast as lakes filled, and heavy rainfall has created a lot of trouble”, he told Kosovas.
However, given the fact that these two seasons may have problems, the company in question fails to find a lasting solution.
