Recently, it was sentenced to more than 2,000 euros to the Democratic League of Kosovo, during a rally whose measures were not respected for preventing the spread of corruption.
Inspection Director in the Pristina municipality Adonis Tahiri has said candidates in these elections should be exemplary for citizens in respecting the measures, but according to him, the opposite is happening.
The “is actually not just a matter of hours, but it is a violation of the law on prevention of pandemic and voting measures in the Government of Kosovo where people are not allowed to be gathered. As such, we from the same government and the same MPs have been obliged every day to condemn citizens and businesses, then these would have to be examples of these rules, rather than the opposite”, Tahiri has declared.
Tahiri has warned fines for all political subjects that conflict with the Law for fighting pandemic.
Seeing that political subjects throughout Kosovo have begun to organise gatherings contrary to the law they have voted for, we have warned them that for any gathering we observe we will pronounce fines. One that happened yesterday with one of the political subjects and will happen to each political subject for any gathering that organises within the capital”, he said.
While Tahiri has been well seeing the complaints of citizens and gastronomics who say they are not being treated equally towards politicians, because he says the municipality's Inspection will not allow such discrimination.
Such incidents should be addressed to them, that because of complaints both citizens and gastronomers are right because the law has to be worth the same for all and that politicians cannot be discriminated against in this situation, and we as the municipality's Inspection will not allow such discrimination and for any gathering held within the city by violating measures we will take measures”, Tahiri said of EO.
