The “D platform with Votu” has sent e-mails to several exiles, to ask for money regarding the project offering them assistance for voting procedures from outside Kosovo.
But, Laura Forster, an exile living in Portsmouth, England, says her data is being used illegally by this NGO and doubts they may have flowed from the application she made at the Central Election Commission, China reports.
From the CEC, they didn't answer Sunday if the applications' data from the exiles could have gotten out of the institution. They said the platform in question is unauthorized by them.
From “>Du to vote” said they use only the data of registered persons and that they have not accepted any complaints about personal data violations. Financial assistance, however, is asked to reason that it is spent on web site construction, software payment, and other services.
Meanwhile, the app, launched by them, in which 25 thousand exiles are said to have registered, is targeted by the Kosovo police, which ten days ago started investigations.
