By 25.01.2021, around 21:15 in Pristina, the Kosovo Police, namely, police officials have been in charge of official office, respectively, were in the assistance of the Sanitary inspectors for implementing measures and restrictions under the law. CVID-19.
During inspection at a local location near the “road, Agani” in Pristina has found that in that local area measures and restrictions were not being respected under the law in power, so competent inspectors and police officials have undertaken necessary legal actions.
During the completion of duties by competent inspectors, there have been insults, and they have also felt at risk, since the case has been forced to assist police, and while the identification of persons present has been requested, some of the suspects have refused, offended competent authorities, and by becoming aggressive have started attacking police officials with fists on their faces and bodies.
Police officials have been forced to use the force needed to bring the situation under control for managing the created situation and implementing the official task, and during the confrontation with suspected persons, two police officials have suffered bodily injuries to the face and body, which injuries have been found even with medical reports.
Two of the suspects involved in the case, after being brought to the police station, have resulted in being under the influence of alcohol, and according to procedures their interview has been postponed.
Regarding the case “assault on the official person” and “obstructing the official person in performing official tasks” has been announced, and three (3) suspected persons have been assigned a 48-hour ban for further legal procedures. Other investigative actions are also under way.
Police remain committed to guaranteeing general order and security and providing assistance to state institutions, where in this phase, public health and the prevention of the COVID-19 virus is among the common priorities.
