Petkov: Kurti constantly destabilises, not only the southern province, but the entire region

Serbia's so-called office director for Kosovo, Petar Petkov, said today that Albin Kurti on yesterday's visit to northern Mitrovica tried to provoke an incident with which he wanted to get the attention of the Albanian electorate. Kurti's “Plan failed at the moment when the Serbian people, with a protest [...]

Kurti's “Plan failed the moment when the Serbian people, with a peaceful protest, clearly showed what does not belong to him”, Petkovic told the Serbian media, Tanjug.

According to Petkovic, Serbs in northern Kosovo once again have indicated they disagree with the “the homosexuality of Kurti”.

With this aggression, Kurt is constantly destabilising, not just our southern province, but the entire region. Because what else besides extremism is the latter from Kurti, following a series of threats about a referendum establishing a Greater Albania, calling, as he says, for the Third Balkan War”, Petkovic said.

He praised Serbs in northern Mitrovica for reacting “in a civilized and democratic manner”.

“Kosovo and Metohija is home to both sides -- Serbs and Albanians -- and it is and remains the spiritual home of all Serbian people”, Petkovic said.

He called on all participants in Kosovo's parliamentary elections that “do not play with national feelings”.

<x0). The incidents of the actions of Albanian political leaders who knowingly participate in extremist competition, from Kurt's attempt to march to the north, to the establishment of pre-election signs with the image of Ramush Haradinaj at the entrance of Partesh and other Serb countries, are more than enough reason for representatives of the international community and international organisations on the ground to react more urgently, Petkov said.

He said that the political “rextremism among Albanians in Kosovo is heating up at an alarming 55x1> pace.

Albin Kurti and Vjosa Osmani visited yesterday the “Trepca” in the north, while it was reported that this visit was interrupted following a reaction of local Serbs.

This was denied by Kurt's party, but then images appeared showing that the visit was accompanied by many tensions.
