Nasim Haradinaj doesn't want to go to session, special judge orders him to appear

Guillou has ordered Haradinaj to appear in this session physically or through video connection, refusing to demand that the hearing be held in the absence of OVL deputy chairman.

For the reasons mentioned above, the Judge of Pre-Procedure: U n Mr. Haradinaj will be presented, personally or via video connection, for the first half of the hearing, with the aim of presenting the acquittal”, the Special Decision says.

The judge explains Haradinaj may be missing in the second half of this session.

In line with rule 96 (2) of the rules, a status conference may be held in the absence of the accused, with his lawyer present or participating through videoconference, if the accused gives his preliminary consent in writing and informed terms. In the present case, Mr. Haradinaj gave such a consent and the lawyer has shown their participation personally and/or through video conference. That's why, Mr. Haradinaj may be missing in the second half of session”, the French judge explains.

The next session for Haradinaj is to be held on January 8th at 5:00.
