During yesterday's Council for Anxiety and Electoral Parashta decision to partially reject Vetevendosje Movement's complaint about the Central Election Commission's decision not to judge the candidate list for MPs.
Therefore, all candidates who had problems with the law over the past three years will not be part of the MP race.
Among them is Vetevendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti, who has already been unable to run for deputy until his party has filed a complaint with the Supreme Court this decision today. Blerim Sallah, the legal representative of this party, even stated that if the Supreme response is in conflict with the VV's request, they will also address the Constitutional Court.
Following this decision by the Central Election Commission as well as yesterday's PZAP father, the news.net has contacted the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa.
Asked whether Kurti's failure to run is facilitating the victory in this election to LDK, Mustafa said not the LDK, but Kurti is becoming easier without Albin Kurti candidate for MP.
According to him, the government, with the votes of those convicted, would fall.
I consider that not the LDK, but Mr. Kurti is making it easier without Albin Kurti, the deputy candidate. Otherwise, the government by vote of those convicted would collapse”, he said.
Isa Mustafa, or the first of the Democratic League of Kosovo, added that his party and the Vetevendosje Movement have competed even when Kurti has been at the top of the list and that this time again they would compete without a problem.
“Bile, if it were not for the Constitutional verdict, it would be more desirable for LDK to top the list with Mr. Kurt. Because that's how they're playing the victim, but they're actually the victim of themselves”, Mustafa added.
Asked whether the Democratic League of Kosovo is already thinking of any possible coalition, Mustafa stressed that his party would co-operate with those who preserve and advance Kosovo.
We will co-operate with those who preserve and advance the state of Kosovo”, he said.
Contrary to the decision that candidates who have problems with the law be no part of the list for deputies was Xavit Ukaj from the Democratic League of Kosovo, but the same was replaced since the first days and thus the LDK had no similar problems.
But besides Albin Kurti from the Vetevendosje Movement, which was unable to run, there are Albulen Haxhiu, Lieburn Aliu, Demi-Murtezi Labino and Bajram Mavriqi, who cannot join the VV candidate list in the February 14th elections.
Unlike February 14th, Kosovo citizens will turn to ballot boxes to elect their representatives in the Kosovo Assembly as well as the first government.
