Order signed by Dr. Martin Cetron, director of the Global Migration and Carantine Division, which is part of the center, says that people should use a mask that covers their mouth and nose during the use of public transportation and during the waiting for departure. The mask should be at least double.
According to the new arrangement, facial shields and protective glasses can be used together with a mask but not as a replacement for it. Released from the new order are only children under the age of 2 and people with special needs who cannot wear masks, CNN writes, the Express broadcast.
The document released on Friday evening says that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention reserved the right to implement order through fines, but calls for citizens to implement regulations voluntarily and expect support from other federal agencies.
This decision comes after the new US president, Joe Biden, signed an executive order that imposed on travelers travelling among states to use a mask on January 21st. On his first day of work, the new White House chief challenged Americans to use masks 100 days to reduce the spread of the coronary.
