Miftarian: Albin Kurti not allowed to run for deputy

The judiciator, Ehat Mittaraj, has said that with today's full Constitutional Court justice, it is forbidden to all those sentenced in the last three years with a firm decision to run for deputy post. With that decision, he claims, VV leader Albin is also affected. [...]
Miftaraj said today's act of judgment has only confirmed what the Constitution has said in the first decision on the case, on December 21st.
“With this bias, the Constitution has reconfirmed what was said in the first decision, that all convicts in the last three years will not be able to run for deputies, including Kurtin”, have said Miftaraj for Time.
This constitutional act comes as a result of the VV's request for the validity of MP Etem Arifi's vote, which enabled the establishment of the Hoti Government.
The Constitution nullified Arifi's vote, as well as brought down the Hoti Government and imposed the incumbent on President Vjosa Osmani to announce the elections.
Arifi was sentenced to effective prison terms of 1 years and 3 months at the time he ran and won the November 6th 2019 elections. He has been convicted of <x0-mayon subsidies”, but this did not prevent him from being on election lists.
Elections should be held the most 40 days away from the day Osman proclaims them.
