Memli Krasniqi: With recovery, the isolation of young people and our country will take over

Deputy Chairman and MP from the PDK ranks, Memli Krasniqi during the presentation of the Kosovo Foreign Policy Recovery Plan and image said that to restore Kosovo to the international arena this plan would be based on three fundamental pillars: Foreign policy and Diplomacy, National Protection and Security, as well as Promovation [...]
He stressed that the PDK's priorities on the foreign policy pillar and diplomacy include curbing any initiative that violates Kosovo's legality and legitimacy of independence and sovereignty, enhancing Kosovo's diplomatic and political representation in international organisations and mechanisms, with a fundamental priority to membership in the UN, the Council of Europe, as well as transforming diplomatic missions from the classic concept of representation, to a diplomatic capital that has the core role of Kosovo's global economy and foreign investors, the close connection of state institutions with the diaspora, the local sports link to the international sports and international cultural background.
“Brenda the first 100 days, we will remove the diplomatic rhetoric of the Hoti Government and undertake a co-ordinated initiative with the US and the friendly countries of the European Union to apply for Kosovo's membership in international organisations. Within the first 100 days, we will re-organise the state platform for reasserting diplomatic relations with countries with which diplomatic reports have been hurt by the inability of the Kurti and Hoti governments, as well as re-organising our approach to new recognitions, not only as formalities but as content. So we will oppose Serbia in its initiative against Kosovo's independence and sovereignty in the world. So we will be able to veto Serbia on our presence on the international level.”, Krasniqi said.
He also said that in the first 100 days of PDK governance, it will return to the international arena, the true history of Kosovo and its path towards independence, not allowing Serbia's rehabilitation to pass on the truth of crimes against humanity, which the Serbian state has exercised toward the Kosovo Albanian people for decades, and especially during 1998-1999.
“Under the inter-state dialogue with Serbia, with the mediation of the US and the European Union, we will clearly define our state goals and co-ordinate the same with our strategic partners. For us, dialogue has only one destination, mutual recognition between the two countries. As we reach this goal, the road passes, among other things, through the automatic ban on any initiative of Serbia to prevent the strengthening of Kosovo's sovereignty, the dawning of the fate of the dead, reparations and the return of cultural heritage assets in Kosovo, as well as the clear commitment to equal and unconditional treatment on the path of European integration.”, Krasniqi said.
With the PDK's Plan for Recovery Targets that during this year Kosovo apply for membership in the Council of Europe, World Health Organisation, World Trade Organisation, Interpol and U NESTO, as well as any international organisation and mechanism where free and democratic states belong and the strengthening of bilateral relations with EU member states.
“To The PDK, membership in the United Nations, will be Kosovo's main foreign policy ambition for this mandate. This is a sovereign right for Kosovo. To do so, we will not wait indefinitely until the geopolitical barriers of Serbia, Russia and China disappear themselves. We will become creative to remove these obstacles as soon as possible. In this direction, we will also consider transferring the right to our provisional representation to the UN through the Republic of Albania.”, Krasniqi said.
Krasniqi has also talked about diaspora, sports and culture and youth.
Kosovo will promote a real and modern image, its culture, heritage and identity, through public and cultural diplomacy active, and will aim to boost its cultural influence at the regional and international level. Promoting the Kosovo diaspora and developing a concrete framework that will support the cultural, socio-economic and political development of our diaspora will remain a key goal. When I served as minister of culture, youth and sports, I have seen the barriers facing Kosovo citizens, especially our athletes and artists. And these are the very ones who have in many cases witnessed to the world how unjust their isolation and our country in general has been. With our recovery plan, the isolation of our youth, the isolation of our state and the potential that exists in Kosovo, it will end once and for all. With us, Kosovo will achieve its weight as an equal regional actor and as a factor for peace, stability, and integration” has said Krasqi.
