Martin Luther King Junior's day delegation has a more special meaning for many Americans this year. This, after 2020, tensions similar to those faced by racial equality activists faced during his lifetime in the United States.
It also follows the death of Martin Luther King's civil rights activist and friend John Lewis last year. So many Americans will celebrate this day by sharing in community - service activities, just as two activists did when they were alive.
Martin Luther King's day is celebrated every year on the third Monday in January. This day turned into a national holiday in 1986 when then President Ronald Reagan turned it into law.
The American ambassador to our country, Yuri Kim, has reminded her of a Twitter post this day where she says: “The U.S. honours Martin Luther King Jr., today is a federal holiday commemorating civil rights hero, but students from the Martin Luther King Jr. Academy stand each day to promise loyalty to the flag and to repeat the faith of the school inspired by King's life. ”
