LVV: Kurti host of the list, we will soon announce his candidacy for prime minister

LVV spokesman Progress Kryeziu has indicated that candidacy voting within party bodies are under way, following the announcement of domestic elections for candidates for MPs.

“Early this week we announced domestic elections for candidates for MPs. We are now in the process of voting candidacy within our organs, the Councils of the Centres respectively. According to the Self-Determination Movement Status of the Centre Councils will make up 1092 of the final list of Vetevendosje Movement MPs candidate”, Kryeziu has said of Telegrafi.

He has added that the rest of the list will be completed by Headship and Movement Chairman.

“Very soon, however, before the CEC's deadline, the full list of candidates for deputies” will be made public, Kryeziu said.

Asked if he would be the owner of LVV's list, Albin Kurti, Kryeziu said nothing denied Kurt to run.

We are within our absolute right to include Chairman Kurti and our member of Headship, Ms. Haxhiu. Despite deliberate fog in the public debate on the consequences of the Constitutional Court's act, it actually constitutes no denial of the right to be elected, of running on Mr. Kurt and Mrs. Haxhiu, for some reason. First, because their cases were not subject to consideration by the Constitutional Court. Second, because they were not sentenced to prison in order to withdraw parallel to Eem Arifi's case, but were on parole, thus alternative punishment, for which the Penal Code was not for legal consequences”, Kryeziu said.

LVV's spokesman added that the Uridic Effect Standard is an unplanned law principle, and it cannot be annulled by any other decision, including a potential Constitutional Court decision.

“Therefore, the General Council is expected to meet in the coming days and thus initially announce Chairman Kurti's candidacy for prime minister's candidate and then the bearer of the Vetevendosje Movement List”, Kryeziu said.
