LDK's Ismet Beqiri won't run for deputy

“With my will and full will I have decided not to be part of the election list in this election, releasing space for other candidates from my invincible branch, to be candidates, though not future MPs”, Beqiri wrote on Facebook.

Beqiri has led the capital on two mandates in the past. Meanwhile, he has often hinted recently that he will be LDK's candidate for chairmanship in the upcoming elections.

Dear citizens,

Members and LDK activists,

On February 14th, we will have national elections.

The confidence Kosovo citizens have given to the Democratic League of Kosovo for years will be sealed again in these extraordinary elections.

So far I've been on the LDK lists in 8 sets of elections (2 local and 6 national).

In all of this, my branch and I have won.

1 Communist Adviser,

1 term Pristina Mayor and

6 Kosovo Republic Parliamentary legislature.

I've taken the citizens' faith to represent their voice and with all my being I've tried to reflect on the good work that has been entrusted to me for years.

With my own will and will I have decided not to be part of the election list in this election, releasing space for other candidates from my invincible branch, to be candidates, though not future MPs.

That's why I got my branch consent at the meeting last night.

As always, I will be at the head of the ever - faithful branch The LDK, to win out of this election.

My contribution as LDK deputy chairman and head of one of the most powerful branches in Kosovo will be maximum for our success in this election.
