Lajcak reveals the date for continuing Kosovo- Serbia

The European Union's Special Representative for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has confirmed that he will not organise any new round of dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade without the election process in Kosovo being completed. “is not the time to organise a new appointment. “is not the time to organise a new appointment. We need a new government with a strong mandate that will continue the dialogue process”, Lajcak said, announcing that dialogue continues after February 14th.
Commenting on the changes to the American administration that will take place after the inauguration of Democrat Joe Biden, as president of the United States on January 20th, Lajcak said he was encouraged by new appointments in the future administration, which, as he said, “do not need lessons about the region” because they are people who have knowledge of the processes in the Western Balkans.
I am optimistic because the new administration is appointing people who recognise the Western Balkans, who feel responsibility for the region. Those already appointed do not need to receive lectures for the region. It is the new administration, but is appointing people as partners to the EU and the Western Balkans”, Lajcak said.
The EU's representative for dialogue acknowledged that there had been no co-ordination between Brussels and Washington last year.
Last “, there were undoubtedly two leads: European and American. It was not our choice to go apart. Our partners in the region were confused because they did not want to be in a position from which they had to choose from side”, Lajcak said.
