KSF soldiers expected to be sent to Iraq, Kuwait

Hoti said these countries have been like options that have been reviewed and that official confirmation is now expected. According to him, the KSF could be sent to these missions in March.
Otherwise, on Tuesday, the Kosovo Assembly approved the government's decision to send the Kosovo Security Force contingent abroad.
With 92 votes pro, no counter and no abstention, MPs gave the go-ahead for sending members of the Kosovo Security Force into peacekeeping missions, within the framework of the US State Force of Aeva.
Through a reaction Wednesday, the American Embassy in Pristina has said the unanimous vote on allowing the Kosovo Security Force to have partnership with the US Army in future peacekeeping missions demonstrates that Kosovo is willing to assume its common responsibility for peace and security in the world.
On December 31st last year, the Kosovo government has approved the decision to send the Kosovo Security Force contingent on missions abroad with the National Guard of Aiva. This decision was then sent to the Kosovo Assembly.
The KSF, so far, has not participated in peacekeeping operations abroad.
In 2018, the Assembly of Kosovo has adopted legal changes to transform the mandate of the Kosovo Security Force into armed forces.
Under the legislation, the process of transformation in the Kosovo Army is envisioned to last ten years.
