Kastrati in an interview for Online Economy said he agrees with KFOR's new commander, Italian General Franco Federic, who praised that the security situation in Kosovo is stable and that there are currently no indicators of possible unrest.

“I agree with the KFOR commander that the security situation in Kosovo is stable, I see no deterioration in the situation, but I see the situation problematic in the north, and especially with the introduction of vaccines, with the doctors' entry into the patient's fingernails constantly as problematic, and I see it as violating the integrity and sovereignty of the country and here the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will have to be more prominent and more engaged in security mechanisms like the Kosovo Police and the Customs of the Republic of Kosovo fighting this phenomenon because it is constantly violating the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo<7.

According to unofficial data, in four municipalities in northern Kosovo: Northern Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and Zvecan, from Serbia have reached about 50 doses of Pfizer vaccines/ BioNTech, meanwhile, has been assigned in three weeks since the first dose was accepted.

For this, Lieutenant General Kastrati says it is regrets that the company of measures from Kosovo institutions, so that aid from Serbia does not enter without legal permission from the government.

In addition Kastrati says the international factor does not need to react to Serbia's provocative actions, as it is up to the Government of Kosovo to do so.

“Comission of the Kosovo Republic institutions, KFOR as an international military presence in Kosovo has a mission to protect borders, if borders are violated from the outside and the safety of the citizens from within, as a second responder to the Kosovo Police, and I don't see that the international factor should react but we have to react as institutions, like Government of the Republic of Kosovo, because we are master of the house here and we have to react and make sure that this doesn't happen and not repeat again, as is happening” he concluded.
