Kosovo's Hydromeorological Institute has warned of the possibility of flooding into Kosovo.
IHK reports that the rainfall that began Wednesday afternoon will initially include the western part of the country (the Albanian Alps Mountain area), which will continue to include the Dukagjini Plains and other parts of the country.
“This situation will continue for several days (09/01/2021), where, as a result of their higher intensity, rapid flows can be presented in some areas, potentially triggering rapid rise in water levels through rivers and especially in watercourses that are characterised in the 48x1>, the report says.
The IHK next reports that the major rivers will have a barking rise in levels over the next few days, while mountain-like and heavy streams will present rapid flows and difficulties in the areas or dwellings they pass.
