Without any warning, numerous British and Italian KFOR forces surrounded him, which were leading him over two years, but that Agim had thought were taking care of public order.

Even he was arrested without telling him why.

I've never dreamed I'd go to The Hague, never in my life, but it's happening”, he relates.

But how did this happen?

Dawn relates the moment of arrest.

I was sleeping in this room, alone since his wife was here, when I heard that noise in the hallway I opened the door of the entrance I saw was filled the military corridor and the carabinieri, with my hands told me to go inside”, he relates.

Dawn was launched for Bondsteel to be later transferred to The Hague on war crimes charges.

On the way Agim Murtez reads the indictment and understands what he was arrested for.

I've been picked up and sent to Bondsteel. On my vehicle, I've been read the indictment, an interpreter has read me the indictment saying, Agim Murtez with the nickname “Commander Murrizi”, you're accused of war crimes in the Lapusnik prison”, he relates.

Agim says he was surprised, and had told them that he is not the person they are looking for.

I was wondering, I said the wrong person you arrested. I was arrested for the other person, Agim Zogaj of Drenica, of the village of Divjake”, he confessed.

The same night, Haradin Balaj was arrested, until Isaac Musliu was arrested seven days earlier.

The incident was in common with Balaj and Mussley, where they were burdened with war crimes in the Lapusnik area.

Murtez: I celebrated my birthday at the hearing, got $10,000 in return from The Hague.

On the day he was 46 years old, Agim Murtezi had to be declared before The Hague judge that the arrest and charges against him were wrong.

I went to the hearing session on that date. Before the launch came in five minutes, the lawyer who had been assigned to me, took my statement and continued at the hearing, where we were all declared innocent (4)x1>, recounts the Dawn.

After the first session, Murtez was released, but on his lawyer's suggestion he filed a complaint through the ombudsman on his case.

He received 10,000 euros in compensation for this mistake at The Hague.

I went to the hearing session and was acquitted of all the points I was accused of. After the hearing, I met my lawyer, who asked if I had a complaint about your case. I said yes, I'm innocent, I've lost my moral and moral dignity. I've had contact with him and we've agreed on it under the ombudsman's office, after two and a half years I've been paid a fee of 10,000 euros”, Agim says.

On the day of release from the road home, it was long after changing three planes from Amsterdam to Hamburg, and from there to Skopje to escort police vehicles to his apartment in Lipjan.

The arrest of Jakup Krasniqi reminded me of the scenes of my arrest”

Murtez recalled the moment when during his stay in custody he saw the Balkan butcher Slobodan Milosevic, while Vojislav Sheshel had rooms attached to him but he had never met him.

When I went out on a walk, near my room there was Seheshel, the officer told me to read this. When I saw it, I said we're here with the criminal, together with the room, he said, "Don't come down the stairs sending me for an interview, when I see the other Milosevic criminal with a” office, he says about Frontonline Agim.

As for treatment in custody, Agim says there is no warning.

As he recalls this unusual event that took place in his life, he also mentions his recent arrests by the Special.

The moment of his arrest is very similar to the scenes of the arrest of former KLA spokeswoman Jakup Krasniqi.

I've had a deep heart, what an arrest, I've known before. He was honest as a teacher. Like me who's been taken away has been completely warned, arrested in the most inhuman way”, ends up telling Agim.

He prays that such an event will not happen to anyone because the scenes of February 17th 2003 are still fresh.
