Appeal has ruled that the conviction of this defendant for serious murder will be reduced to 30 years.
He is accused of killing and burning his friend Shkodran Bytyqi's body.
In November last year, accused Lalinovci was sentenced to life in prison by the Ferizaj Foundation Court.
“The Court of Appeals examined the extenuating and sequenced circumstances the accused's new age as well as his expressed pity, which the circumstances set forth in Article 70 paragraphs 3,6, 3.10, and 3.11 CPRK. In view of these, the Court estimated that even more this criminal sanctions, the purpose of the sentence, determined by law”, could be achieved, says the Court of Appeals' reasoning on the removal of a life sentence.
