The murder of Zia Wadan, who previously worked for different media, seems to be the last in a series of targeted strikes that are shaking Afghanistan, especially the capital Cabul, where journalists, politicians and rights activists are increasingly targeted, despite peace talks between the government and the Taliban.
Canada and its colleagues were killed in morning traffic in peak hours in a eastern part of the capital. No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but President Ashraf Ghan blamed the Taliban for it.
“The temperature of the Taliban violence is against commitment to peace and shows that the group still continues its stance on taking innocent lives and damaging public objects,” said the presidential palace in Titter, citing Ganny.
National Public Protection Force (NPPF) is a security service under the interior ministry that sets guards in international organisations throughout Afghanistan
