Question: How do the power generation units form?

Luigi Imer: Based on official services information from the Kosovo Energy Corporation, it reflects that it has achieved a record product in its history. Such production is actually achieved in an extremely difficult year as a result of Pandemia, which has challenged not only KEK but also the country and the entire globe. Such a result with a good performance is reflective in financial terms as well, because production itself, which is the basis for KEK, has also made us have an income-related performance.

This year, despite other challenges other than Pandemia, is also faced with an old technology, but thanks to the commitment, co-operation and co-ordination with KEK workers, we have managed to realise an extremely important and successful plan for the Corporation itself as exclusive merit of all its workers.

Question: What effect have Remonts had on production units?

Luigi Imer: Of course, any Remont and the planning that is accomplished according to objectives and plans positively influence production units. In this direction throughout the year, all the planned Remonts that have reflected on the achievement of such success, which guarantees a stability and stability of both thermal and electric power supply.

Question: How's the expropriation process going?

Luigi Imer: As part of the implementation of the Corporation's objectives, there is no doubt the process of expropriation in creating areas of extracting the essential product such as coal. The latest 129 ha of expropriation project, from which 70 ha has been exhumed until now.

Question: What's the value of investments KEK made for communities?

Luigi Imer: We make investments in the Community every year, which total about 200,000 euros. In the year we left for the first time, we made an investment in the municipality of Fusha Kosovo, especially in the area where the Corporation's territory lies.

Question: We are in winter season, and in recent years in Kosovo we have energy reductions. How can Units produce a record of energy, and on the other hand, citizens remain without energy in these cold days?

Luigi Imer: KEK has not been responsible for providing electricity to citizens with electricity since 2013, a responsibility which has been passed to other companies such as COSTT, KEDS, KESCO. KEK's only responsibility is energy production by exploiting its maximum capacity for sustainable production and market plastic.

Question: What challenges are the KEK facing in the future?

Luigi Imer: KEK has its own planning and we hope that Pandemia will soon end up due to the large number of workers and corporate field activity that connects with various workings of workers on one side, and on the other, as an important challenge is the realisation of projects that will affect the renewal of equipment because of their age which made our operations challenging. What we think is also a question of curdour renewal because we've been doing at an average age of over 55 which forces us to enter into a framework recovery project that requires a time of training and professional training for specific jobs KEK has.

Question: What are KEKA's targets for 2021?

Luigi Imer: KEK's objectives for this year will be numerous because of its scope of activity, both in terms of implementing projects which are extremely important, and we have a co-operation and co-ordination with the European Union about the Project to improve impact on Environment, but unfortunately challenging remains to manage the Pandemia situation as an obstacle to realisation of these projects and to minimise Ambint pollution where we expect a period of five years to have a mirror quite different than it is actually. So the main objective of the Corporation is to implement capital projects, improve Environment and upgrade frameworks.
