Persistent clouds of rain and snow are also causing power supply cuts in some areas.
KED has reacted immediately, committing about 400 ground workers to map out the damage being caused on the network as a result of atmospheric factors. The most infected areas are actually: The district of Peja, Mitrovica and part Pristina.
KED teams have been working indefinitely since late hours of yesterday so that the sooner electricity supplies are stabilised. However, weather conditions are making the intervention very difficult, since in many areas teams cannot penetrate heavy machinery because the terrain is impassable to rainfall. Thus, they are being forced to regulate the decay by physically carrying all the necessary material.
KEDS invites all consumers of the infected areas to keep an eye on the grid, never approach it, but immediately call the Call Centre in the free number -- 0800 79 100 or write us through our social networks.
