Italian Ambassador: The process of certificate of candidates carried out by law, without interference

Italy's ambassador to Kosovo, Nicolaa Orlando, in a statement on the pre-election situation in Kosovo, has said pre-election procedures such as the certificate of candidates for MPs should be carried out under law and without interference.

He has said Italy and the EU expect to have a transparent electoral process.

The “Italia together with the EU expects Kosovo institutions to ensure reliable, comprehensive and transparent elections, in line with international standards. Pre-election procedures like the certificate of candidates are continuing and allowing complaints. They must be carried out by law and without interference”, he wrote.
