Democrat Congressman Stephen Lynch has proved positive for the coronavirus, having been vaccinated with both doses of Pfizer vaccine. The 65-year-old, who represents the eighth District of Massachusetts in Congress, resulted in positive for the virus Friday evening, confirmed for CNN his spokesman.
Lynch was present at President Joe Biden's sworn-in ceremony last Wednesday, but the test before the event turned negative. The Congressman took the second dose of the coronary vaccine just before the inauguration, but his spokesman did not specify the date when specifically.
Pfizer's vaccine is not necessarily meant to prevent COVID-19, but it is said to be 95 percent effective in preventing serious symptoms caused by the Coronavirus.
Lynch's animtomatic and proved positive for the virus only after a staff member in his Boston offices was infected.
