Five more injured by the Ferizaj explosion are sent to KKUK

Over 40 people were injured yesterday by the explosion of a gas tank at a restaurant in Ferizaj.
Fifteen people have been sent for health care to the Emergency Clinic at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo, while 14 were lying at Ferizaj Hospital.
The director of this hospital, Jeton Zeqiri, told Express that today there were five people in this hospital who were injured by the explosion yesterday. Other patients being treated in the hospital as a result of the injuries they had received have been released home.
He has stated that these five patients have also been sent to KKUK until one has stopped for further treatment there.
“5 patients today have been lying at Ferizaj Hospital. All these patients have been sent to QKUK for examination of plastic surgeons. One of the patients has been stopped there, while four patients will return to the hospital for treatment”, he stated.
Zeqiri has stressed that all these people have had burns because of the explosion, so they need medical treatment.
While CKUK's Anesthesiology Clinic director Nehat Baftiu has now provided information on the state of health of six patients who are lying in intensive treatment.
He has said that one of the patients is in more serious health condition, as he has suffered 50 percent of his burns.
“6 patients are lying in central intensive treatment while one in the intensive treatment of cardiosurgia. Their situation today is better, but complications can occur after the fifth day. Patients are in the respirators. One of the patients G.S. is in more serious condition than others after having 50 percent burns”, he said.
Due to serious health situation, preparations are under way for these patients to be sent to Turkey for treatment
