Initiative Krasniqi: I believe I will be allowed to run

The Social Democrat Initiative is among the three political parties that were not certified by the Central Election Commission (KQZ) for the 14 February elections. This CEC decision came after the Initiative, Vetevendosje Movement and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo did not push off candidates who had court rulings cut off election lists. E [...]
The Social Democrat Initiative was not certified last night by the CEC to participate in the February 14th elections. That is because this party did not remove candidates who were sentenced to a decision of form cut in the past three years, as the Constitutional Court determined in the act that brought down the government “Hoti”
Initiative member Vesel Krasniqi said this party today would complain to the Electoral Panel for Ances and Parashta (PZAP) for the CEC.
We will now hand in the complaint, which is considered to have been wronged, that has been denied participation in the elections as an unfair subject even though we had no remarks, no complaint from the CEC when we handed over the” lists, he stated.
And according to him unjustly, the Initiative is taking place year after year. He also mentioned the October 2019 elections, where the initiative after several complaints and reviews passed the threshold and became part of the Assembly.
This is an unfair thing being done to the Initiative last year, with those votes being trafficked again the same injustice the pop is done now trying to get it out of the race, but we'll still be in the race and race and we'll be the surprise of these” elections, he said of Express.
He also spoke of the Constitutional Court's decision, which halted running in the February 14th elections for candidates of parties who have been sentenced to decisive rule in the past three years.
It is unfair to deny a candidate to run for MP in the Kosovo Assembly, why there has been an 18-euro fine in communications or why he has delayed the property declaration. It's an unfair”, he said.
Wessel, who himself is on the candidate list for MP from the banned initiative, said that despite the ban he would run for deputy.
Speaking of his sentence, he stressed that all is a misunderstanding between him and the Anti-Corruption Agency (AKK), where, as a result of the two-day delay in the wealth declaration, he was convicted.
I believe I will be part of the Social Democrat Initiative list among the candidates for deputy. This was a case in 2017 when I assumed the post of deputy minister. I'm two days late to declare my fortune. I've been in the top 20 years. I never had a problem. This was for the first time, that there was a misunderstanding between me and the Anti-Corruption Agency (AAK). Two days I'm late, and this is the case of why I'm stopping from being”, he said.
Apart from Vesel Krasniqi, running for deputy from the Social Democrat Initiative was banned from Berisha, Nisretta Bytyci, Valentina Alijaj, Xhafer Berisha, Aziz Thaci, Musa Fetajt, Hasime Daka, Fatmir Gerdellat, Vehbi Avdlahhit, Endrit Shala, Ardian Nokajt and three others.
The same fate as the Socialocratic Initiative had been experienced by LVVA and AAK. All three of these parties, due to the failure of candidates sentenced by the list, were not certified by the CEC.
