The World Health Organization has announced that the new option of COVID-19 has spread to 60 countries around the world. Until this version has spread rapidly, infected people in the country say that very soon it will verify that a new version of this virus is present in Kosovo as well. Meanwhile, the country has already sent 30 samples of COVID-19 to Berlin. The result is expected to be indicated in two weeks.
The new option of COVID-19, originally common in Great Britain, has soon begun to spread to other countries.
While other countries have verified the cases infected with this virus, there are already doubts that it may be present in the country.
Infectologist Hamdi Ramadani has told Express that a new version of COVID-19 could be present in our country as well, which will soon be identified.
He has said that since the first case of COVID-19 has been discovered in March and has been on the scene so long, the virus appears in various forms called mutations.
According to him, this new form may be the same as the British version, but it may be another form of the virus.
The month passed by Britain has also identified a new form of coronary. Then a few days ago, they identified the virus and many other countries in Germany. Even in our country, there is certainly such a large number of infected people, and a new form of coronary, called mutation, will soon be identified in medicine. There may be another mutation in the country since it has lasted so long. But will it be Britain's or else it remains to be seen”, he has declared.
Ramadani has said that the more a virus remains widespread, changing its structure.
He has said it's important that from now on within 100 days to start vaccines in the country so that citizens who are not infected with COVID-19 are protected from it.
Every scientist knows that viruses represent genetic mutations. This should not address many concerns because both the virus and the coronavirus in time gives epidemic forms called mutations that should not pose any danger. The important thing is that as soon as the vaccine begins. I believe that at a 100-day interval if the inoculation of those who are not with COVID-19 is started, there will be a fairly protected situation for those who are not infected”, he noted.
Therefore, Ramadani has said that citizens must respect safeguard clauses, wear the mask and distance so they can't be infected with the virus, until he said that we detect the virus can stop.
On the other hand, until Kosovo can detect the new option of COVID-19, 30 samples of patients infected with this virus were taken Monday by laboratory teams in Berlin.
These samples are said to have arrived in Berlin today, where they will also be seen if a new version of the virus is present in the country.
The director of the Department of Microbiology, Jevat Jakupi, has said that testing these samples is not easy, so it takes two or three weeks.
He said they don't know when the samples will be announced, until he said they were sending more samples to Berlin next month.
On the other hand, the Health Ministry Information Office has told the paper that airlines with Great Britain have already been suspended and assigned to which countries the test will be required. The PCR to enter Kosovo.
“Even with the latest decisions of Government and MS it has been defined to which states the tests are required The PCR as the precondition for entering Kosovo and implementing institutions of these measures are obliged to act by correct border control, implementation of precautionary measures, testing suspicious cases, tracking contact cases”, the minister has said.
We remember that the new option of COVID-19 has been estimated to be 70 percent more transmitted than the current one, but there is still no evidence that it is more deadly or serious than the existing option.
