US President-elect Joe Biden is sitting at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland ahead of his inauguration, to be held tomorrow in the country's capital.
Biden flew today on a private plane, another change in protocol on the eve of his inauguration.
A person familiar with this issue confirmed to CNN that Biden was not taking an American government plane to Joint Base Andrews for the first stop in his inauguration celebrations.
Beden will participate in a memorial ceremony this afternoon to honour the more than 400,000 Americans who have died from David-19. 400 lights will light Lincoln's Memorial Reflection Pishina.
The president-elect had indicated his desire to come to Washington on a train from his house in Delaare, but it was considered a security risk at a time when the country is facing domestic threats.
