IHMKUE warns floods in the coming days

Bashkim Kastrati from the Hidrology Sector and Hydrological Prognosis at IHMK has said that the flood situation is expected to continue over the next few days, so that rivers will also have gradual rises.

“As a result of the rainfall that started after the day of 29/01/21, which included most of the country, in some areas have caused floods. This has contributed to rising temperatures that have resulted in rapid melting of snow, especially in hilly and mountainous regions, causing rapid water flows and rapid flooding. This situation is expected to continue during the following days, so the rivers will rise gradually. Despite the difficult situation, it is not planned for the situation to be the same as it was two weeks ago, when we had massive flooding”, it broke.

So far it has been reported that the river “Drenica” and the river “Lap”, they're out of bed.
