The director of the Kosovo Hydrometeorology Institute, Letafete Latifi, has warned that the flood situation in Kosovo will remain critical and dangerous.

Therefore, it called on responsible institutions to stay alert so that there is as little damage as possible.

“Sic forecasts for rainfall will continue tomorrow, where there will be snowfall and sometimes rain. Also, there will be a temporary flood break tomorrow, but they will continue in the evening. Meanwhile, on January 10th, intensity is expected, and as with all these forecasts and hydrological conditions, with all these setbacks it is expected to be critical. We have to be in a state of readiness because maximum river levels will go further to”.

Latifi has said he is still considered that Kosovo is in critical and dangerous condition from water levels across the rivers.

“Each institution responsible to be available and take action”.

It has said that the floods result from rainfall and snow melting, but the impact also has created problems with narrowing river profiles, throwing up piles of waste, and building nearby.

According to Latifi, it was the highest rainfall in Enik.
