Hoxhaj of Hamza meets business representatives: We designed 1 billion euros fund for economic recovery

Democratic Party of Kosovo candidate for prime minister Enver Hoxhaj, accompanied by deputy chairman PDK Bedri Hamza, has met representatives of businesses in the country today, with whom he has debated the economic recovery programme he presented yesterday.

Hoxhaj addressing business representatives said there is no political subject like the PDK, which sees the private sector as its real partner, as he said they know those who can create jobs, those who can increase the economy are private business representatives.

We think our economic development programme consists of two parts, the first part is that we want to manage the damage that was created by pandemic in relation to the country's economic development. In the second part, we think there should be a stimulating package that needs to address all expectations, concerns and problems that you have as a result of the pandemic. The PDK sees you as partners to develop the country, create new jobs, boost the country's economy and the welfare of the country, and here we are very determined. Secondly, it is the only party that has clear electoral programme, we want this country to make a democratic country and democracy in time of elections, political parties present their electoral bids, debate electoral bids, and take over obligations in relation to certain levels, with specific businessmen setting aside what needs to be changed. I'm convinced here that we're very creditable that even in the past when we made certain promises it wasn't a promise they were the pledges we've implemented once we came to power. Thirdly, we have a list of the immediate concrete measures which will address all problems, demands, expectations the private sector has in the first 100 days and in our mandate”, he said.

He has voiced confidence that during his first term at the helm of the country's government, the economic situation in the country will change, until he said they are determined to address all problems that businesses have as a result of pandemic.

Hoxhaj said the other two parties -- LVV and LDK -- have failed to manage the COVIID-19 pandemic, until he said the same failed afterwards in addressing the consequences that the pandemic has had on businesses.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo has introduced Bedri Hamza as finance minister when she comes to the government, the same before businesses has shown details of the recovery programme.

Over 500m euros are money direct, cash without return, the state has to give businesses transparently through the budget with clear criteria. Subvention of interest rates, all manufacturing companies and exporters are a great help, that if in this business crisis we work and earn and eat interest rates, that doesn't work, but if someone thinks that the bank should give out loans without interest rates we can't destroy the banking system that we destroy the state, that's why it's preemptive of interest rates that are hundreds of millions of Euro”, he said.

Hamza said that VAT will not be paid from business to border, as has happened so far, but the VAT payment collection will take place in the country's interior, respectively, while saying that the Kosovo Fund's capital increase for credit guaranteeing by 100% will also occur to support or guarantee different investment projects in many 100% of businesses.

Business representatives discussed the economic recovery project presented by the PDK, which called for detailed clarifications on how it will be implemented.
