Hoti: Stealing 2.1 million is a criminal case, don't connect it to this government.

The more incumbent prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, has said the Kosovo government should not be asked about the process of investigating the State Treasury theft months ago. Hoti has said that stealing that has occurred should not be linked to this government, since it is a criminal case and justice organs will go [...]
Hoti has said the Special Prosecutor is handling the case in the month of October last year, where 2m 77 thousand euros from the State Treasury disappeared.
There is a lot of unfair noise going on and addressing this question in the wrong place, we don't investigate, we're government, we're executives, prosecutors are conducted, and the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo is working with full intensity in this case.
At a news conference, Hoti has said that the government is not conducting investigations except everything required by the prosecution is available.
Don't connect this issue to this government, it's a criminal case that happened in Kosovo's budget and we're writing it down to the end but it doesn't belong to me, because I don't know, and it's not up to me to talk in detail about the investigation of this process”, Hoti said.
And incumbent Finance Minister Hykmete Bajrami has said the case will not stop until the case is clear.
It is the Special Prosecutor who is handling the case, believe me that on a daily basis we as the Minister of Finance through Treasury are feeding them all the information, the investigation is now at an advanced stage, but as the prime minister said, we also have a request from the Prosecutor not to give details because the case is being damaged at this phase of the investigation. There is a large number of officials and specialists in all institutions dealing with this case, and this case will not be stopped until they return to Thesar and anyone involved in this scene received due sentence”, Bajrami has said.
In October 2020, within hours it has been achieved that over 2 million euros of state treasury have disappeared.
