In this case, until he has congratulated him on his new position, he has expressed readiness to speed up efforts to reach the normalisation agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Z. Secretary, we are committed to working with you to accelerate efforts to reach the normalisation agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia, based on mutual recognition. This agreement would strengthen regional stability and enable the two countries to realise their full potential of co-operation”, said among other things in this letter.
Your Honor Mr. Blinken,
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, congratulations on your confirmation of the post of Secretary of State.
We are grateful to the United States for reconfirming support for the Republic of Kosovo, as an independent, multiethnic, democratic and fully integrated state in Euro-Atlantic structures.
Secretary, we are committed to working with you to accelerate efforts to reach the normalisation agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia, based on mutual recognition. This agreement would strengthen regional stability and enable the two countries to realise their full potential of co-operation.
Kosovo is committed to working with you, as well as with our partners in the European Union, for empowering rule of law, establishing stability, sustainable economic development and developing democracy, as a fully ready country for the Euro-Atlantic integration process.
Your Honor, please accept my highest consideration.
Honestly,
Avdullah Hoti
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.
