Hoti-Osman dispute to the AKI chief: Miftaraj warns damage to the state

Ehat Miftaraj from the Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD) has told Periscope that the non-removal of the chief of AKI has implications for the institution itself, but also for the credibility of institutions and institutional leaders who, according to him, are making daily policies.
The “in terms of functioning of security institutions has consequences for the AKI institution itself and the credibility of central institutions in Kosovo, respectively, institutional leaders who even in such cases do daily policies, fail to get consent and institutional co-operation to have institutions that are guided on the basis of the Constitution and Law. ”, he said of Periscope.
In addition, Miftaraj has criticised institutional leaders, saying they promise creditable institutions of rule of law, but in the first opportunity they act against this set of principles.
And this is also one of those cases, where it proves that institutional leaders promise institutions with credibility, good governance and rule of law, while in the first opportunity to come, they act more authority against these principles. ”, he said.
He stressed, among other things, that constitutionally and legally there are no legal consequences in relation to the president and prime minister for failing to fulfil obligations related to the appointment of the AKI director within the legal deadline.
