Hoti: LDK won't surrender in front of violent Facebook militants

The candidate for prime minister by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Avdullah Hoti, said Thursday during the meeting with the structures of this party in Gjilan, that the LDK is under obligation not to allow Kosovo society to kneel before violent Facebook militants. “Mbi we must all make sure that culture prevails in Kosovo [...]

“Mbi all must make sure that democratic culture prevails in Kosovo, so that the intellectuals of this country do not give up, that the honest politicians of this country do not give up, young boys and girls do not surrender to Facebook militants who are violent even physically”, Hoti said, suggests the statement by LDK.

Speaking of 7 months' governance, he highlighted the fact that this has been the most difficult government since the post-war, as there have been very serious challenges, including pandemic, the economic situation, the situation created with the arrest by the Special Court and broken reports with the international community.

We've managed to manage all these challenges successfully. We have not failed in either of them”, the LDK candidate for prime minister said.

According to him, the campaign for the February 14th elections will be among the most serious campaigns that have occurred in Kosovo.

“I would like to make a political contest, in television studios along with other party candidates in the race for prime minister, compared each subject's policies, because that's how competition is conducted in a democratic state. But we can't compete this way because we're dealing with people who aren't politically opposed. The LDK but are against the state of Kosovo. Those we have in front of are not political opponents who are opponents of the state of Kosovo, so it is a mission for us and the LDK people to engage together, not only for the LDK and its vision, but to preserve this society and preserve democracy in this society and to preserve the western course of this society”, Hoti said.

He called for mobilising the LDK structures and electorate to preserve the state of Kosovo.
