Acting Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, along with Ministers Hykmete Bajrami and Besian Mustafa, has met business representatives in the Prizren municipality to discuss government plans about economic development.
Hoti has said that she and the ministers have talked with businesses about completing 2020, but also their plans for 2021.
“Today, we had a meeting with the business community, along with some of the ministers to discuss the conclusion of 2020, our economic recovery package for 2020, and the plans we now have for 2021, to get comments and suggestions from businesses”, he said.
Hoti has said that 2020 was a difficult year, but that they have managed to ease the situation with the economic package and the Economic Regeneration Law.
He has said that during this meeting they have proposed the Kosovo Government's ideas on economic policies, but have also received ideas from businesses.
It's been a difficult year, we've designed a package of economic recovery that in relative terms is beautiful, worth 360 million, and plus the economic recovery law that mobilised hundreds of millions of euros directly and indirectly. Now we're starting a new start, we have another package of economic recovery, 222m euros. We received good proposals from businesses, and we also proposed our ideas for economic policies during 2021”, he said.
Hoti hopes the pandemic will be overcome so that the country's institutions can deal with economic development, as well as focus on Kosovo politics.
